 We seek the literary, the well-crafted, those narratives steeped in imaginative threads that promise a long, evergreen life of astonishment and entertainment.  

Established in 2019 to publish the innovative, creative, and eclectic pathways open to the mystery novel writer, Black Magnolia Books intends to make its contribution to the breadth and range of the mystery novel. We are open to traditional mysteries, cozy mysteries, historical mysteries, medical mysteries, and novels that contain some of the elements of the thriller. 

 We are after the boundary pusher, the innovative, the intelligent and the compelling.
